Luke-Dakota Massey

Luke-Dakota Massey (Dakota) was born on May 21st of 1992 in the small village of La Luz, NM. He lived there until 2007 when he moved to Sierra Vista, AZ.

He started writing books as early as 8-years-old, but did not publish anything until 2012 with his book, To Allison F. Frasier, which was a collection of stories, monologues, and poems written by Dakota from the ages of 8 to 20.

He took piano lessons as a child for about 3 years, but wasn't taking it seriously because he didn't get along with his most recent piano teacher, so he quit lessons. Then, random one day when he was about 15 years old, he sat down at the broken family piano and wrote the song, "Broken" which has since been re-worked and re-titled to "Only Damaged" and he's been playing and composing ever since. He recorded his first EP "The Ending" in 2020 and posted it on soundcloud. He now has 2 EPs on soundcloud and is taking a break from composing to focus on live local shows.

He picked up painting in 2019 as a hobby, but it quickly became a love of his. He's self-taught and learning as he goes.

In 2014, Dakota got married to Travis Evans, a retired army vet, in Alamogordo, NM.

Dakota now resides in Grapevine, TX with his husband where he continues to work on his writing career.
